1.
What
type of marketing materials can you help me with?
Have a look at the Portfolio/Services page.
Don’t worry if what you want isn’t there or you don’t know
what you want. Just
contact me and we can discuss your objectives and the best way to
achieve them—with no obligation at all.
2.
How long
does it take you to produce
these materials?
That really depends on what’s required.
I need to be aware of your deadlines and I work with those.
However, if you come to me with an impossible deadline, I’ll
let you know and try to come up with some other options for you to
consider.
Absolutely! I’m also
amazing value for money.
You need to think of any expenditure in terms of ‘Return on
Investment’. (ROI) For
example, if you are selling a product that provides you with £50
profit for every unit sold and I charged you £400 for a sales ad
then you would need to sell 8 units to cover my costs.
I would certainly intend to get more than enough enquiries
for you from that one ad to produce a profit.
I will usually discuss
ROI during the briefing with new clients.
4.
What’s
included in your fees?
This will be detailed in the quote and it’s important that any work
is briefed, understood and agreed.
For more details have a look at my terms & conditions.
5.
Will
your quote match what I actually pay?
As long as we agree the brief beforehand but, if that changes, it
may need reviewing.
However, I will always ask
for your agreement before carrying out any work for you.
Oh I wish! The simple
answer is ‘No’ and if anybody promises you otherwise they’re telling
lies. What I can do is
give you the best words to help you achieve what you want but there
are other factors involved.
For example, I could write a newspaper ad for you but if you
put it in the wrong publication you won’t get the results you want.
Don’t get too worried about this.
I’ll need some information about how you plan to use the
material I’m producing for you and, if you don’t have any ideas I
will try and point you in the right direction and to the right
people to help you.
7.
What do
you need from me in order to give me a quote?
Firstly I will need to know what you want to achieve, who your
target audience is, what other resources you are using (e.g.
designer, printer etc.), what you have already agreed (eg, method or
style of advertising) and what research materials you have
available.
If you accept my quote then I will need to spend more time
researching your product or service, its place in the market and
your target audience.
8.
I’m only
a small company, don’t you deal with big fish & big budgets?
I work with anyone who needs my skills and experience.
Small companies need to be successful as well as big ones and
don’t have the requirements or budget to employ somebody to do the
job full time. However,
do not think that, as a small company you don’t need marketing
help—it’s crucial to your success.
9.
What if
I don’t know what I need to make my business successful?
No problem. I can work
with you on a consultancy basis to either review your entire
communication structure or on concepts for a specific project.
For more information have a look at these items on the
Portfolio/Services page.
10.
If I
accept your quote, how will we work together?
I’m very well trained!
I’ll keep you informed of progress and ask you to do the same.
I may need information from you for research and ask that you
respond quickly. I work
from home and don’t appreciate wasteful meetings but conference
calls can fulfil a lot of requirements.
Also, invoices needed to be paid on time.
11.
My
product/service isn’t launched yet and I need to keep it
confidential
Absolutely—do not use anybody to help you with a launch who you
can’t trust. If I
couldn’t be trusted with your plans and ideas I wouldn’t succeed in
my business.
12.
What
about design & print?
I’m not able to offer those facilities directly to you.
I can work with any suppliers you already have arrangements
with or may be able to offer suggestions or out-source the work on
your behalf. We can
discuss this when we set the brief for the project.
13.
I
already have a design team.
